So, I went for an interview on Tuesday at the Kentucky Blood Center. It was for a mobile Phlebotomist position. I was the only one out of the 3 other people there (for that apointment, they have like 4 more to go threw) anyway, I was the only one who was like yea, I can dig those hours. The hours SUUUUCK. Let me tell you haha. It seems like a good job though. I'd ride around Kentucky to different places with a group of other phlebotomists, and wed go to blood drives at schools, churches, whatever. Its basically a 24hr job. I could be starting work at 3am or at noon. God only knows. thats why the hours are so shitty. Its also like 12 hour days. Mainly because of travel and set up time. I can dig it though, I hope. If i get the job they give me training and everything, 8 weeks of it. Its paid, at like 9.40 or something. Sweet. After the 8 week training I get bumped up to like 10.20 or something. Awesome :) Its also 40+ hours a week. She said we easily pull in 50 hour weeks. Theres benefits and stuff which is awesome and its a non profit group which i like. I also like that its a rewarding job. Hundereds of people need blood and they depend on the lives of hundreds of strangers to give it to them, but they need the people out there putting in the effor to get that blood. Its kinda gross and i dunno how ill feel about it but I need a career. I also need to stay with them for a whole year, or reembers them for half of the training, so be it. They called me back today and said to go for a drug test no later than friday. I think ill go tomorow morning when i get up before work at 2. Im excited because im assuming that means I have the job. It really going to suck though. Im like never going to see Chris and I miss him like whoa. He comes home this weekend. Home for good :) I cant wait to drive out friday night and spend our last weekend on the farm in the cabin of doctor ellis. its a pretty sweet place and i like it alot. Im going to truley miss going out there. it was like a vacation for me. I mean its over an hour away. Gah thats another thing wrong with the job.. its in lexington, a good 40 minutes away. Good bye gas!!! Good thing its down to 225. hope it stays for awhile.... anyway... I need to take cosmo out and go to bed. It has been soo cold here. Im fighting to not put the heat on but i have been now and then. I need to turn it off before bed... ihave to remember.
