hard but interesting classes

today i had my other three classes, one of which i'm dropping right now. comparative education. professor sucked. class description sucked. it was much more work than it let on and it seems like a writing requirement, even though it isn't. there were many oxfordians in there but none who were my friends. however, if i plan on passing my other classes i had today, that one has to go. so goodbye 10:00 class.

11:30 was sociology of education, which turns out is crosslisted with a graduate school course. so it's half grad students, half undergrad. i know brandon and tofa in there. the two professors were scary and serious and we are supposed to have a strong sociology background, which i do, and be serious about it, yada yada. i am so excited about it.

1:00 was lit theory, which is actually a comparative lit class. so that's cool. i knew sam and sarah and kinnari in there. we're reading de Man and Derrida and Saussure, etc. so i'm really excited about that one. normally, it goes till 4 on thursdays but we got out early today.

i still have some books to get. it's gonna be a hard semester, even with three classes. but, the good news is, my thesis idea has begun to formulate in my head. something with trauma theory and how that affects the language of post civil war novels in southern literature, over time. like closest to the war versus faulkner writing in the 1930's. SO COOL TO ME.

i'm with lottie right now, she's jumping all over me, but luckily, she peed and pooped on her little pads. WHAT A GOOD GIRL. i have to work tonight but it's my last session with neil!

kaplan has already assigned me two new students. work work work. but i love my classes. gonna be a good semester. also, all my professors have me listed as a senior. because i am awesome. haha. time to go get work done.
