Much Needed Upate
Howdy peeps.
Have not updated this in over 6 months. haha. Awesome.
Not too much has changed really since then... I don't think.
Well apart from I'm now working in a climbing centre in Xscape, next to Braehead, and raking in a significant amount of money compared to the old Mickey D's. Have earned more here in my first three pays than i did there for a whole year, so no argumnents there. Along with a new job came a new (and fairly decent, may I add) car. Still broke though, coz i have to pay so much in petrol to get there, plus the payments on the car itself.
Starting back uni in about 5 weeks, and intending on doin physics as my degree now... hopefully MSci. Especially after my results for the first year... AAAAAB :) Awesome... and thought i had fucked physics up as well.
Life in general however leads me to feel that I am stuck in a rut... I'm not too keen on that to be honest, but I'm goin along for the ride at the moment... don't know what I want overall. I'll decide on what I'm doing in the long-term with everything soon, as soon as my mind has decided what's best.
The band is alright though... our first CD was finished last month, and we've sold a few, plus a few t-shirts too. Been fairly well received by the people who have heard it, ith one or two exceptions, but it's the exceptions i live for. It's called Give Them Hell, has 8 tracks, was recorded in a garage, is 100% DIY and if you dont have a copy you're a loser. If you do have a copy then you're a bigger loser.
Gigs have been plentiful, having been to Aberdeen twice, Glasgow, Saltcoats (yay, haha) and have more gigs coming up. Like, Outside at the Oval, which is on Saturday, which everyone needs to go to, since there are 15 bands, and it lasts 10 hours. We're on third, coz we're widely recognised as shit.. or in other words, we're not emo, haha. Nah, i dont mind being thought of as not that great; it's a learning process, or some bullshit like that.
Other gigs in the near future include on in Beith, and one in Glasgow, playing with the ever amazing 4 Past Midnight.
Finally, in other news.. i got my lips pierced. It was tender for a few days, then was fine. After i had it 17 days (got it done 19 days ago) put in a hoop... this has resulted in a little bit of tenderness again and i think the piercing is now healing in a hoop shape. Which now means if i want a stud back in i'll need to burst through skin... ah well, hoops are better.
The same day i got it pierced Astrid got her hips done.. and fainted, haha. Is funny now, but at the time i was slightly concerned she was gonna pass out and i would be the only one there. But all was fine, and I warned her to tell me in advance if she was gonna faint anyway, so i was prepared.
I've hung out with her a couple of times since, and it's been really nice. You sometimes forget how important your friends are, especially the ones you dont see who care about you so much fuckin more than you know. And i dont intend on not hanging out with her for as long again, coz i have way too much fun to not see her.
Ok, that was well a long post.. I'll try update this a little more often (a personal cliche of mine =])

p.s. I actually finished reading a book... first time in years. (Didnt even finish my personal studies book 3 years ago in higher english, only got 40 pages from the end, but shhh). It was the first instalment of Stephen King's Dark Tower series, and im about halfway through the second, although I'm readin this one significantly slower; been at it a couple of weeks compared to 4 days for the first one.
