Feminist Propaganda
Back before women decided that they were treated poorly and unfairly, they had an easy life. What did a married woman’s day compose of really? Let me tell you. Cleaning, taking care of children (if they had any) and spending the husband’s money. What was so terribly wrong with that? Women were basically spoiled. Is that not what they want these days anyway? You’ll hear a feminist woman fight about making her completely equal to a man, but ask her to pay for dinner on a date and all hell breaks loose. You want equality? You want to be treated identically to a man? Bench press the same amount in the Army, do the same amount of push ups, fight for the right to be drafted. Don’t just sit there and fight for all the things in life earned by hard work without doing the work. Women were not created equally to a man. It has been proven that a man’s brain is developed differently than a woman’s. Also, last time I check men weren’t made with that extra layer of fat over a uterus and ovaries to protect a child in the womb. They can’t even have children. That’s why women stayed home, to take care of children. Would you completely trust a man with your child? No. They don’t have the motherly instincts God bestowed upon us.
Ms. Rich talks about how there are more males in the upper stages of education and society. That is simply because more men go for these types of jobs. If more women ran for political office, naturally, more women would be elected. No woman has ever been in the presidential office. Wonder why? Maybe this is because no woman has ever run for the presidential office, go figure. Take Hillary Clinton, she just might win, should she chose to run in 2008. I certainly will not vote for her, but that is my choice.
Rich also talks about claiming an education. During the late 1970’s there might not have been as many women in the higher education levels but these days there are. Women can do everything a man can now for the most part.
When she cites the well known books with the word “man” in the title she leaves out an important fact. The word “man” is commonly used to define our human race. It doesn’t just mean male sex. If she wants our society to be more open minded maybe she should try being more open minded with the definitions of words.
Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying the way things used to be was great, that I don’t enjoy the right to vote, or that I don’t love being able to go to school and earn a job. All I’m saying is that currently in this day and age women are just petitioning for these rights. The ones who get out and take action are the true women with a cause, not the ones who bitch and complain about being completely and infinitely equal to a man, but at the same time request special treatment. You can’t have it both ways ladies. You want to join the army? Do it, but don’t request special courses and treatment- the way it is currently set up. You want to go on a date? Offer to pay. Why should the man always have to pay if you want to be so “equal?” We might as well get rid of old fashioned traditions entirely if you want to be so equal.
Now, Dr. Depeter, I ask you- When are you going to let us read the other side of the argument? You want us to debate. You want us to elaborate on our beliefs. You are our professor. How is a student to debate and learn what opinion is best for them when you teach us one side to the equation. The key to being a great debater is knowing the most essential arguments to every side. When you know all the facts you can debate anything. You will never be blind-sided. You have given us one extreme point of view, now give us the other. This may be an all female school, but it does not mean we’re all feminists.
Today was interesting. I'm starting to get annoyed thats for sure. Anyway... I got a hammock chair for my room! I ordered it today. I love it. Leigh and I re-arranged our room. It looks much better now. I'll post pictures later.
Thats all I'm gonna write for today... bye!
