(no subject)
So yesterday was pretty amazing.
Sure, we stayed up until 3:00AM Saturday morning building two machines and practicing our skit, but hey, we got three and half hours of sleep.
If you don't know what I'm talking about by now, yesterday was the Regional Competition for DI.
The highlights of the day:
-Watching Ben's team and their competition
-Freaking out over Mr. Rigler not coming until after our Instant Challenge and calling Katie B at 8:00 to get his number (and ending up not having to get it from her)
-Getting a random custodian to unlock a random door so we could have our own room
-Cheering for all the little kids as they went to do their Instant Challenges
-Fruit punch!
-Getting dressed for our challenge an hour early because the clock was weird
-Running around in hot pink zebra striped tights, leg warmers, miniskirt, tank top, and giant sweater
-Rocking that side ponytail
-Being absolutely humiliated during our challenge...but having way too much fun in the process
-Knowing we had already won
-Losing Mr. Rigler while we were changing and then having Abby wander into a restricted zone and randomly find him
-Sitting in the cool little silent reading area in the library and talking
-Having ONE fan at the Awards Ceremony...having that ONE kid clap for us when we won (we didn't even KNOW him)
-Ben's team winning!
-Sleeping for a sweet fifteen minutes in the car on the way to the restaurant
-Reliving almost every DI inside joke ever at dinner ("He was a tree!")
-Coming home and sleeping
Loooooooooooong day, huh?
It was amazing...I can't wait for States! Wow. Great day. The only bad part was that after our challenge was over, we lost all adrenaline and didn't feel like doing anything...hence falling asleep in totally random places.
But still...totally awesome Saturday.
