Yay!
I just found out I will be DJing upstairs at Death Guild next Monday, October 5th, filling in for Sage who will be out of town! I'm MEGA excited about this. Death Guild, in a sense, is one of the reasons I began DJing. I loved how they were ostensibly a goth club, but were relatively unafraid and unpretentious enough to bust out some Prince or Madonna (and not JUST "Frozen") or even DMX. When Daniel, Starr and I started Compulsion, we were going after a Death Guild-y vibe, minus most of the hardcore swirly goth or stompy industrial. Sort of taking the darker pop or synthpop type of stuff that DG played and making an entire event out of it.
