i met chris wolstemholme last night...holy shit
shit shit holy shit! last night paul, jenny, dane and myself went to raleigh to the disco rodeo for the greatest show of my life. muse is the greatest band ever. period. they played 2 new songs, bliss, sunburn, hysteria, ruled by secrecy, apocolypse please, time is running out, sing for absolution, stockholm syndrome, butterflies and hurricanes, the small print, and thoughts of a dying atheist. not in that order, but what does it matter? they opened with hysteria and closed with stockholm syndrome. after the last song, they looped the ending a couple of times and fueled the best mosh pits. i fell. jenny got nailed in the face, and we all got kicked in the head mulitiple times from crowd surfers. the concert rocked ass, but after the concert was better. i met them. i met all three of them. matthew bellamy, chris wolstenholme, and dominic howard. holy shit. it doesnt get any better than meeting the 3 men who have inspired you musically more than anyone ever on the face of the planet. chis is a big guy, he was really cool he shook hands with me, talked with me, took a picture and signed my copy of absoloution for me. dom signed my cd too. then matt came off the bus and we went and talked with him for a while, got a couple of pictures and an autograph. i wish i would have gotten a picture with dominic. for those of you who dont know, i play bass and meeting chris was a life time goal that i met before i got out of high school...wow...i shook hands with my biggest inspiration. my life is complete for the moment. more people should know about muse. they deserve every bit of credit they get and then some...wow, just reliving it in my mind gets me going...www.muse.mu...if you didnt know, thats their offical website. www.museandamuse.com is a great fan site with alot of good downloads. www.microcuts.net is another awesome site i frequent. thats all i have for this first entry...cheers (they say that alot)
