I've been thinking lately. And I've realized I'm okay with not being able to hear the voices anymore. In fact, it's kind of nice! At first I wasn't sure I liked the uncertainty, but it's actually kind of exciting not knowing what's going to happen!

... And they kind of made it hard to be optimistic! [She laughs a little.]

Yes. I was able to hear the voices of the dead.

I haven't seen many ghosts here, aside from the Pokemon-- perhaps that has something to do with it? [no reaction at all; he's too used to dealing with the dead.]

If people pass on and don't linger in an afterlife... [he stops, considering it.] I don't know why there's ghost pokemon, then, though.

... You know, now that you mention it that really doesn't make sense.

[he's honestly stumped.] None of my powers seem to work here-- maybe we just can't interact with spirits, aside from Pokemon?

[he sighs a little.] I wish there was a way to get more definite answers.

That would be nice, wouldn't it?

And... What kind of powers did you have? If you don't mind telling me, that is!

I was an exorcist. I helped ghosts move on.

That sounds like an interesting job!

It was! It was sad, frequently, but-- helping them move on was always a good thing.

I can imagine how that would be sad... It sounds like overall it was a pretty rewarding experience, though!

[There's a brief pause before she continues.] I think it would have been nice to be able to help some of the spirits I heard move on...

Mm. It's a small relief, not to have to worry about helping the spirits here on top of everything else.

Yeah... That would probably be pretty overwhelming!
