Mm, it's cute, although Sora is less in character than Riku (with drunkenness, however, allowances can be made). I really liked the intro paragraph.

Only one real criticism: "brunette" means female with brown hair. I kept thinking of Sora as being even more feminine than I usually think when you used that word.

I've never known it to just mean females, I've read plenty of books and stories where it just refers to a person with brown hair.

I looked it up cuz I was curious(not cuz i'm trying to be snarky) and as an adjective it just means "having dark or brown hair."

I know this is very OCD of me, but I looked in a few dictionaries and the definition sometimes includes the feminine qualifier, sometimes does not.

Wiktionary: brunette (not comparable)
1. Of a woman or girl, having dark brown hair.

Sleepycreek.net: brunette
noun
1. A woman or girl with brown or dark hair.
adj
1. Said of hair colour: brown, usually dark brown. Compare blonde.

Bartleby.com:
SYLLABICATION: brunette
PRONUNCIATION: br-nt
ADJECTIVE: Having dark or brown hair.
NOUN: A girl or woman with dark or brown hair.

Merriam-Webster Main Entry: 1brunet
Variant(s): or brunette /br-'net/
Function: noun
: a person having brown or black hair and often a relatively dark complexion -- spelled brunet when used of a boy or man and usually brunette when used of a girl or woman

So we're both right in a way. From what I can ascertain, "brunette" as an adjective can refer to men or women, but "brunette" as a noun refers to a female.

I'm a grammar nazi, sorry ;)
But, yay, I learned something new today ^_^

Ha. Wow.

Well, um... I guess I'm flattered that you cared enough about something in my fic to look all that up?
Hehehe.
Every other thing I've ever read used brunette as a something of a gender neutral sort of word, but now that I know that, I can go back and change it.
Thanks!
