WELCOME to a world where meals are always six courses, you practically walk on petals, patches are all the rage, fans hide quiet smirks, the skirts are too wide and the wigs are most certainly too tall. You wake up in a room that is lavishly furnished, the sun shines in through the window softly and in the distance you can hear the quiet tweeting of birds and the faint playing of music. Welcome to the year 1774, the Chateau de Versailles…a palace among palaces. You don’t know how you got here, but isn’t that always the case? You also don’t know your purpose and figures that no one else seems to know either. Your only clues are the set of clothing laid out on the chair near the door, a small out of place electronic note book (better keep that hidden from the natives if you see any), and a letter written by hand;

Welcome to my illustrious court at Versailles. We have called you to court to escape the rabbles and ick that pollutes our dear Paris Court, and instead invite you to have fun and enjoy yourself here. We must work together to rebuild the Old Regime, build back our beloved France back to glory….I have chosen you most humble noble for this task. Let the game begin…

So you know three things; You are currently living in the year 1774, you are being housed as a noble at the Court of Versailles, and perhaps the most disturbing notion is as you walk outside your room towards the gates you find them locked and just empty fog and darkness waiting beyond them….and that is when you realized you are trapped.
PREMISE:Pomp1774 is a Historical, Pan-Fandom, Community based game where your character is sent to live in the royal court of Versailles during the year 1774. The rococo era was a time for significant fashion as much as it was a time for blood lust and revolution. However, as your character gets the chance to live the splendor of being at court including; wearing the clothing, eating the food, and listening to the music they will find their time here precious. Every month for an unknown span of time your character will leave the confines of Versailles golden cage and awake in a new era of history. Anywhere from Ancient Babylon to World War II Europe is a possibility. And not only will they be forced to live the history of our world, but play the games set forth by the king for his enjoyment as well. Each world will hold a new task, and when the task is completed, each time will they return to the quite splendor of Versailles life in the year 1774. Your character will be forced to band together with people from other worlds and solve the mystery behind this -so obviously not the actual King Louis XVI and find a way out of this world he has created. Who is he really? And who is the mysterious Mister or Miss H who is sending your characters clues and gifts in order to aid them in their fight? That is your characters biggest task yet- if they can manage to survive everything else first.
