random tangent!
Well, I'm here in Japan, and having lots of fun, too! It's so weird; I'm halfway around the world, and yet, due to today's technology, I can chat with home (Skype, and it's free!), look up the news on what's going on, and keep up all my blogs and photo albums! It feels like I'm in another city back home... except, y'know... for the Japanese used in signs and conversation.
Being a culture student here at NUFS is awesome! And the extra scholarship money they give you really helps out. After funding from that, and the extra bit from on-campus jobs, it really doesn't cost much at all to study abroad here! If anything, after income, it's even cheaper than Monterey, I think.
After Golden Week over here, it's gotten pretty lazy and tiring around here, and I'm actually looking forward to classes starting up again, where we'll be getting some work done again. The classes are all in English, but it feels good to be able to go out in the real world and use the language in a real-world setting.
