Parenting has come up a lot recently and it has started my gears a turnin'.

I have noticed a fair amount of people claiming that it is wrong to "indoctrinate impressionable minds to Christianity (or religion at all)", but doesn't the same hold true for any idea? Isn't it just as wrong, since faith or lack of faith is a personal choice, to "indoctrinate" impressionable minds with atheistic ideas? While I agree that "indoctrinating" children to any idea that isn't immediately necessary to the child being a happy and productive member of society (i.e. stealing is wrong, don't kill people, etc.) is wrong, I have to wonder if all the atheists in this community can honestly say that their own bias against religion will have no bearing on how their child is raised. Aren't there two sides to this coin?

I personally don't feel that there is any truly effective way to stop personal belief/bias from having an effect on the rearing of your own children (though I do feel that as a parent, and before anyone asks I am a parent, that one should be ever mindful of the effect their own belief/bias might have on their child), but I would like to know how others feel about this.
