So I just thought I'd finally update on my panic attacks. So far I haven't had any full blown attacks for more than a month now. I still have a hard time doing some things (like going out to eat or hanging out with my dad (no offense to him but he just knows how to get me stressed out)), but I've been able to press through and start enjoying life again. God has been so faithful to me, and I know that this is just a time of growing and learning how to overcome, and gaining new tools to do His will in my life. He has really been answering my prayers and coming to my rescue:)
My pastor was preaching last sunday about how this year would be a year of new beginnings. I really believe this is true. There will be a time when God will allow me to not even think about fear. I won't need to "learn how to deal with it," but it will one day be totally broken off of me. What a great promise He has given us! I know that it is hard now, and sometimes I feel like I will never be the same, but thats true. I wont be the same, I will be better than before because it is not His will that we have unsound minds, and it is His will for us to live in peace as we put our trust in Him.
Sometimes it is hard growing up in a family who doesn't believe and who don't necessarily support me in my choice of faith, but I am so blessed when I think about what I do have. I think one thing about panic attacks is that I focus so much on myself, but if I look at how much I do have going for me I can see that I should really be grateful.
Anywho, keep on truckin'! And remember this wont be forever. What is forever is eternal life!
