i was just browsing around on myspace and lj and such things, and i realized how glad i am to not be in the "popular" crowd or a stepford wife.
all these girls are like 'omg i cant stand this fuckin drama, omg' and they fight and hate eachother in their little clique of girls. what the hell? im sorry that i like my life as drama free as possible. im glad that my friends dont judge me EVERYDAY about what i wear, don't wear, said, or whatever. these girls who just LOVE to party and be OH SO POPULAR are just asking for trouble.
this high school stuff is literally the biggest joke out there. 'oh my god, becky, did you see what she wore today? who wears BLUE with jeans. psh, it's like she dressed in the dark" *laughs like hienas* ..GOSH. and then when they find out people don't like them or something they go and cry and say "WHY DO THEY HATE ME OH MY GOD I NEVER DID ANYTHING TO THEM"...
listen, kids. don't try and be popular and not expect your life to be put on a pedestal. if you were smart, you wouldnt care so much about shit like 'omg she wore' or 'he said she said bullshit'... those are grounds for being made fun of.
i never understood the concept of 'popularity' or cliques, cause i honestly hate things like that. i like have a bunch of friends from wherever, not just one race or shit like who wears what or who has their house in where or who got jewelry from there stuff. theres this thing called personality, and it's a mighty fine basis of chemistry between friends.
i also can't stand the unpopular people that think they can form their own crowd because they're uncool. these people are just as worse. dont think that bc you couldnt make it to be a popular kid that you can go about and form your own group of shallow people! that is SO SHALLOW to try and be popular. BE who you ARE, why is there a point in categorizing yourself with other neo-nonpopular kids. these people think it's so "fetch" to have sleepovers and watch napoleon dynamite and the next day, thats ALL you talk about and you're quoting one liners from it. "omg we're so uncool that we watched napoleon dynamite FOUR times, isnt that the coolest thing EVER!!! VOTE 4 PEDRO HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHHEE"
i like being a non-conformist. i like watching movies with out distinct intents to brag about lines from it the next day. i like waking up one morning and saying 'what the hell..im gonna wear those damn sweatpants that are friggin comfy' or maybe i just like goofin off with my friends and saying stupid stuff bc it's fun, and i have no one to prove my coolness to. the best part of not being in a group or not TRYING to be in "that group" is that i can make fun of people at my own dispense. you are at the helm of the "peons" if you try and flaunt money with ugly tacky articles of clothing or if you arent wearing an outfit up to "stepford wives" code of preppiness. you deserve the bantering, the drama, and the laughs because you wanted to be elite by standards of a wacked up code of popularity. you fail at life, bc you are not cool for yourself, you are cool for others.
and i hope people read this and they will say 'man, amanda is such a loser. who DOESNT want to be in the popular crowd?! who DOESNT want to be cool?!'... well i don't.. because if im cool according to the rules of high school, i am a down right lowlife. i like not caring if im cool or not. you dont hear me say "oh my god, she said this about me yesterday" everyday of my life do ya?
oh yeah, and NAPOLEON DYNAMITE isnt all cut out that all the kids on the street say it is.
