So my car was totalled...
So we were driving to the DMV (Division of Motor Vehicles) when I was going through the intersection on MY green light when this lady in a van pulled out in front of me doing her left hand turn - I was going about 40mph so there was no time to react or even put on my breaks so I hit her. Her van flipped over and hit another vehicle who was going to be turning left when her light turned green but she was stopped there innocently. This woman had 4 children in her car all luckily buckled in, her youngest according to the police report was only 2 months old.
We are all doing ok (Me, my squishy, and my sister - the ones in the vehicle) we just need chryropratic care and massages now.
I only had my new car (which is also my sisters car) for 17 months so we don't fall under the new car policy of 15 months totaled and get a new car thing (we miss calculated that I guess) so we will only be getting $18,800.00 minus the remainder of our loan of apprx. $2000.00 so we'll split about $16,000.00 - I'm so sick of dealing with hospitals and the insurance companies right now. And she was found to be at fault so that is good because she was an IDIOT!! I'm still upset because I feel like our car was worth a little bit more than the 18-8 but we have pretty much no choice but to settle.

I must say though for such a small car it held up really well in the accident. But I'm still so mad at that lady, she should have been paying better attention, but at least everyone is ok and no one is hurt more that just the bruising.
So now I'm looking into getting another vehicle but cared to death that I'll get a new one just so some stupid IDIOT can wreck it.
