As I mentioned way back
here, I played racquetball a little bit. I guess I was in high school. I had access to the gym at the local Air Force Base because I was a dependent and my father was the gym manager at the time.
As I have probably mentioned MANY times before, my left leg doesn't bend. So, when playing racquetball, I had a disadvantage towards that side. So I liked playing people for the first or second time...because I could win. But eventually they'd get better at it and just win all the time. I'd quit asking them and they never asked me either after that.
What'd I learn from it?
1. If you're waiting for the other guy to hit the ball...don't look back towards him. Just keep your eye on the front wall.
2. A skill you MUST master quickly. You have to be able to hit the ball off the back wall hard enough to make it to the front wall. Because sometimes that's the only way.
Later on, when getting my leg looked at, the doctor told me racquetball was probably bad for that leg...so I quit.

That leg kept me from the trials, tribulations, and embarrassment of PE: that's right. I didn't have PE after fifth grade. Not in college either. No wonder I don't get enough exercise now.
