London Zoooo and a Meme~ :3
Yesterday I went to London Zoo with ssnakes! I haven't been there since I was a kid so it was interesting to see it again. I actually got like no sleep the previous night and was awake at 4am, but proceeded to lay there for 2 hours and after unsuccessfully getting back to sleep, got up at 6am (yes Yuan, really) XD But yush! About an hour and a half later we were on our way~
We got on the train and traversed the Underground fine on the way there~ We were both a little nervous about it since I usually just let my brother deal with directions and we'd both never really done it by ourselves before. XDD But it was simple really~ Anyways as we were heading out of Camden Town Station, there was a sign there pointing RIGHT for London Zoo. So naturally we turned right to follow the sign. Walked allll the way down Camden Town High Street with no sign of the road we were looking for that was supposed to lead to said zoo. XD After eventually realising it couldn't be down there we walked all the way back to the station and saw a signpost with a sign pointing LEFT as you leave the station. WTF London signage...?
Eventually we found the zoo. It was the awesome and I saw a lot of animals I'd never actually seen in real life before. Like naked mole rats and a komodo dragon!! 8D I also saw Atlas moths (largest moth in the world~) and Moonmoths, which I'd always wanted to see! I got some awesome footage of an okapi using its tongue to strip leaves off a shrub on the edge of its enclosure too. And a good tongue-shot picture. XDD A lot of the animals were just lazing around since it was soooo hot, but thankfully a lot of them were in good enough locations to take a picture of even if they were only sleeping. Oh god... I saw so much I can't begin to describe it since this will probably end up tl;dr as it is. I will say there were some animals missing there that I swear they used to have. Bears for one. But maybe they moved on or something. :/ But yush was an awesome day out, even if I did end up spending all my money. And my self-restraint didn't work very well in the gift shop either, I bought a large beanie iguana. XDD

The day out was really fun and I enjoyed it. But I have to say the trip back was a complete nightmare. DX First of all there was an announcement saying that Camden Town Station had closed due to a power failure. So we walked for MILES around the Outer Circle which goes all around Regent's Park which is simply put, massive. We didn't even know if we were going in the right direction since the road just went on forever and everything looked the same. And since we'd been on our feet almost all day our feet were killing us. Eventually we found the Baker Street Station and had to wait about 15 minutes for the next Circle Line train which would bring us back to Victoria for the train home. We got on the train, reached Edgware Road Station and then the driver announced that Circle Line trains weren't running anymore because there was a fire alert on the line... The District Line wouldn't be running either since it goes the same way so we didn't really have any other option other then to try and find a way onto the Victoria Line. o.o He advised us to use buses but I had like no money on me and we didn't really want to have to spend money on a bus anyways. We didn't even know where we were. XD;; So we got off the train to go and ask for assistance when there was another announcement that Circle Line trains WERE running but were just delayed and by the time we got back our train had left so we had to wait for the next one. DX I hate the Underground so much...
Finally we got on the train home. Except we had hit rush hour so there were no seats and I had to stand for most of the way. And my legs were completely dying... My shoulder too since I was pinned in with a load of people randomly sitting on the floor and I couldn't put my bag anywhere. I think this guy eventually realised how uncomfortable I was though and let me sit down. XD; I've acquired a sore on my toe but it doesn't look too bad~ My legs are still crazy stiff though, especially my right one, and I can't walk very well. XD; I feel like a robot lmao. Also I'm in a bit of daze today. I slept sooo well last night but I'm still tired. So yeah sorry if I'm slow or something...
Which reminds me, sorry for slow tags on DDD too anyone that I was supposed to be tagging with, I've been kind of busy recently. ^^; Hopefully I can back into the swing of things once this tiredness wears off.
