so im here. in the State of KY. i had a good time in MI but it's getting hard to ignore the fact that we're all drifing apart. i'm not surprised or hurt or anything, i knew it would happen. it's just a feeling of prolonging gloom and regret. i managed to visit all my favourite places with the exception of my old house, The Rafters, and my old neighbor's pool. i also never made it to The Arch, which kind of goes along with my old house, and come to think of it i never went to the Back Woods either.
It's kind of funny how places are important too you, however insignificant they might be to somebody else. i think of the places that are important to me and wonder how people can just pass them up without knowing what they mean. until i realize that i probably do that to so many places because im not those people and they arent me. it seems crazy that a place, where i hold such a huge memory, has such a little impact on someone else. i know its because they arent me, but still...
Places That are Important to Me:

Charlie's Tavern: a bar right off of Superior (Main) St. in MI. anyone can go in there, it's also a Family restuarant. they have the best pizza in town. and you can get it with pineapples on it, which for some reason doesnt happen in KY (Papa John's thought i was retarded when i asked for pineapple)

Nature Center: its the woods but it has walking paths, etc. this place holds many, MANY memories, some good, some bad. alot of Michael and alot of Sarah

the Dow: its a gym and a pool and a theatre area. i saw my first production here, did my first flip on a trampline here, my first flip off a diving board, completed my first racing Start (swimming), went off the highdive in a C2, did my first pull-up with out help, swung off a hand-made (by drunken men) trapeze (sp?). many memories of Zakk and Zane (and their Family) here

the Cannon: a huge cannon in a field across from my g-ma's house, i used to go climb on it all the time. memories of my sister and i as little kids

the Boatshed and Tunnel: a shed full of canoe's and a tunnel in which you can canoe uptream under the city. very cool. memories of Zakk and Zane and my sisters and i as little kids. the Tunnel and it's little reservoir always have freezing cold water. it doesnt matter how hot it gets.

the Spring: the bast damn drinking water in the state of MI. it's constantly pouring out and all you have to do is stick your face underneath it and take a drink. granted the sign says "THIS WATER IS UNSAFE FOR DRINKING" but everybody i know has been drinking it their whole lives and nothing's ever happened to them. and again, the water is always cold

Warren Dunes and the Clay River: Lake MI coupled with sand dunes. it's really beautiful. very blue. and, of course, the clay river, which when you kind of get to the end of it, it's just like a pit of clay and there used to be a slide, it is SSOOOOOO awesome

my old house: the favourite of all 4 houses ive lived in.

my neighboors pool: he first time i ever touched the bottom of the deep-end (granted it was like 8 ft. but i was 4 okay!!) and many hours spent playing mermaids with all the neighboorhood girls

The Arch: there's a brick wall the extends along the backyard (pool area) and side lot of my old neighboor's property. there is a row of trees that separates my old neighboors from their neighboor's (Sarah's house). there's a path/gap thing right before the tree's meet the brickwall. the tree's limbs arch over until the leaves brush the top of the brickwall, creating an Arch and a rather large play area. Sarah, Megan, Chelsea, Katie, Tieneke, Anna, Melissa, and I spent coutless hours of makebelieve in that fort.

The Rafters: a place on College campus that few knew about. it was in the Kellog Center (1 of four building's in a section of campus called The Quad) on the top floor. the rafters were like huge and you could sit on them because they were incredibly near to the ground. we used to go there after school. by we i mean me, Ben, Angie, Hannah, and Kevin because it was on the qay that we walked home. it was quiet and serene and we liked it.

the Back Woods: woods behind Harrington Elemmentary school (very near my house) in which i first met my daring streak. there was an old tramp that lived back there, or so they said, sometimes people saw him, the Police saw traces of someone living back there, but they never found him. it was scary back there, you felt eyes on you when you walked. and im sure there really were.

there it is. the list of important places to me that are in Albion, MI, with the exception of Warren Dunes which is in Benton Harbor. hmm. it felt good to list them all. kind of like a cleansing thing or w/e you want to call it

anyways. im home so give me a call!!
i love you all!!!
