F.A.O The Mighty Boosh RE: The Original Crimp

Dec 06, 2008 23:26

To the delightful Noel Fielding and Julian Barrett,

I would firstly like to thank you for the rather splendid performance of your live 2008 tour at Brighton a few weeks ago. I was greatly amused by your referring to the Sugar puff adverts stealing your crimping compositions.

I would, however, like to draw your attention to a popular tropical fruit drink of the early 1980’s, Umbongo. I fear that the lyrical genius of Andy Blackford’s jingle, which undoubtedly influenced the creation of the crimp, may not have been fully acknowledged by your fine comedic collective. (As a note that maybe of interest, the producer of this jingle was Andre Jacquemin, musical composer, arranger and producer to Monty Python.)

I hope that you could rectify this by dedicating a crimp to the life juice of the 80’s umbongo. I think it only fitting, that a gesture of remembrance is made. For this tropical fruit drink has touched so many of us over the years and has inspired humour heroes such as yourselves.

I look forward to the next installment of your devilishly crafted giggle show. I would be very grateful if you could let me know if you are able to rectify the umbongo mishap in your next production.

Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to read my email.

Kindest regards,

Soliloquy

(is it bad that i have actually emailed this to their managment company? **teehee**)
