=--------------------------------------=

The silence in the clearing is deafening, the only source of sound is from the three figures standing in the clearing. Though they aren’t talking, there’s the faint rustle of clothes anytime one of them shifts or when Junsu picks up his pacing again.

Changmin falls onto one of the logs that had been dragged near the fire, his head in his hands and his fingers gripping at his hair. He can’t stop the mental beating he’s giving himself, his mind constantly pulling up images of Yunho pinned against the tree, out of his mind with lust. He can’t wrap his mind around what possessed him to fuck Yunho into a tree.

“What the fuck happened?” Jaejoong’s voices causes all three men to startle, their eyes large as they look up at the seething Jaejoong.

Changmin stands, fighting the urge to look down at the leaf-strewn ground. “It’s my fault.” He states, a shock of fear shooting down his spine when Jaejoong turns fiery eyes towards him.

“I gathered us much, you moron.” Jaejoong snaps, advancing on the slightly taller male, “I want to know what the fuck caused you to do that!” He fists his hands in the younger male’s clothes, jerking him forward so they’re hardly an inch away from each other.

Changmin swallows--an instinct left from his human days--and grips at Jaejoong’s wrist, as if to fend off a possible attack. “I followed him into the forest to make sure he was okay. He shifted back to human form when he saw me…” Changmin trails off, eyes shooting to the tent where Yunho’s limp body had been put. “We got in a fight and I lost control and bit him.” Changmin met Jaejoong’s gaze evenly now, refusing to look away and let the other male see the lie he’s telling. There’s no way he was going to tell them he’d had sex with Yunho.
But even as he stares in Jaejoong’s eyes, he knows that the other male can see his lie; Jaejoong knows about the sex and the disappointment is clear in his eyes.

“You reek of sex, Changmin, don’t give me bullshit about a fight. Did you rape him?” Jaejoong’s voice goes icy cold at the last question, his grip tightening even further on the younger male’s clothes.

“N-No!” Changmin feels the panic creeping up his spine, his eyes growing larger as he’s faced with Jaejoong’s wrath.
“He shifted back into human form, I provoked him, he attacked and I pinned him against a tree; the next thing I know, he’s trying to suck my face off.” Changmin defends himself, teethe coming out to capture his bottom lip.

Jaejoong’s eyes narrow further and he moves closer to Changmin, invading the younger male’s space even more. “You could have easily stopped him.” He accuses, eyebrows arching as he speaks.

Changmin’s heart jumps into his throat, his tongue running over his bottom lip in a nervous habit. “I don’t know what I was thinking.” He breathes, his gaze shifting downward.

“You mean to say that you were thinking in the first place?” Jaejoong snarls, shoving Changmin away with a disgusted grunt. “He was in a post-shift weakness, there was no way he could control himself. You took advantage of him, you selfish bastard!”

Changmin stumbles backwards, a shocked gasp slipping past his lips as he trips over his own feet and falls to the ground. “I…” He trails off, unable to find a way to defend himself. He wants to tell Jaejoong that’s not how it was, but the more he looks at it, the more it seems like Jaejoong’s right. Yunho would never have made an advance had he been in his right mind.
“I’m sorry, but it’s not like this changes anything. Werewolves are immune to vampire venom.” Changmin mutters towards the ground, feeling slightly stung that Jaejoong’s making such a huge deal over such a small thing.

“Did you even take time to look him over before you tried to cover up the evidence of your dirty fuck in the woods?” Jaejoong snaps, hands clenched into fists at his side. “He’s going through the change.” Jaejoong’s voice grows softer at the last part, his body seeming to relax slightly.

“That’s impossible.” Junsu cuts in, his eyes large and mouth hanging open the smallest bit.

“From what I can tell, Yunho doesn’t like doing things the normal way.” Jaejoong responds, his gaze flickering back towards the silent tent.

“So what does this mean?” Yoochun questions., arms crossed over his chest and shoulder leaning against the trunk of the nearest tree.

Jaejoong purses his lips, a troubled look written clear across his face, “I really have no clue.” he sighs, shoulders shrugging slightly.

“How’s Yunho doing now?” Junsu questions, hands clutched nervously in front of his abdomen. The worry is burning in his golden eyes, seeming to give his pale face a new sense of life.

Jaejoong runs a hand through his hair, head shaking slightly, “I really don’t know, Junsu. He hasn’t started the fever yet; he’s just…cold. If he wasn’t breathing, I would think he was dead.” Jaejoong’s response is tense, his hands still fisted at his side as a silent reminder of his anger and frustration.

“Do you think he’ll live?” Junsu’s voice is a mere whisper, as if he’s worried that speaking the words will somehow bring them to pass.

Jaejoong’s only response is a shrug of his shoulders, his face looking pained.

Changmin, having picked himself up from the ground, listens to the talk between the other two, his bottom lip captured in between his teethe. The guilt eats at him, which surprises him most of all. He doesn’t do guilt. At least, he didn’t think he did.
Despite his wish to simply get out of the campsite, Changmin finds himself making his way into the tent, ignoring the conversation of his other companions.

Yunho’s there, lying on the ground with a blanket covering his pale form, a few other blankets had been balled up and placed under his head to form a makeshift pillow.
If he hadn’t been taking slow breathes, Changmin would have assumed him to be dead, just as Jaejoong had said.

Changmin just sits at the entrance of the tent, looking down at the unmoving male. He hesitates for just a moment before he reaches out and gently pulls back the blanket covering Yunho’s chest. Jaejoong had removed the younger male’s shirt, revealing the long, red welts left by sharp nails dragging across skin. Changmin can’t even remember making the marks on Yunho. In fact, most of his encounter is a fuzzy blur in his head, save for that sudden desire to sink his teethe into the exposed and vulnerable flesh of Yunho’s neck. He can just see the two puncture marks on Yunho’s neck, the flesh around the area red and puffy, as if he’d been bitten by a particularly huge spider.
Across the front of Yunho’s chest are indents from the bark of the tree he’d been pressed against.
Changmin can’t say that he has any particular fondness for Yunho, but something in the pit of his squirms delightfully at the sight of the younger male.

“Get out of the tent, Changmin,.” Jaejoong’s voice resounds clearly throughout the clearing, tone deadly and commanding.

“It’s not like I’m going to eat him.” Changmin finds himself growling as he turns his face away and moves out of the tent, slight annoyance at himself running through his veins.
Upon walking out of the tent, Changmin finds himself standing hardly an inch away from a stony looking Jaejoong.

“Forgive me if I don’t trust you to control yourself around him.” He snarls, a dark fire burning in his eyes.

Changmin feels hot words burning at the tip of his tongue, begging to be set free. He follows Jaejoong because Jaejoong has proven himself to be the leader, but that doesn’t keep Changmin from feeling slightly chafed from the rather strict rule.
“You’ve known me for hundreds of years, Jaejoong, are you seriously going to lose all your faith in me because of one mistake?” Changmin finds himself posing the question seriously, despite his wish to sneer and snarl at the older male. Truthfully, he’s stung at how easy it is for Jaejoong to assume him untrustworthy.

Jaejoong seems to mull over the other male’s words for a moment, his eyes narrowing slightly before he steps back and motions for Changmin to step away from the tent. “You betrayed my trust and it’s you’re not going to get it back immediately.” Jaejoong finally responds, his gaze slightly cooled from the fire that had been burning there moments before.,

Changmin twists his mouth to the side, offering the smallest show of rebellion by turning to his left and marching away from the tent in the opposite direction that Jaejoong had gestured. Sure, it was childish, but sometimes childish made him feel better.
Changmin catches sight of Junsu hovering near the edge of the clearing, his usually bright face pulled into a rather dark look of contemplation.

As if feeling Changmin’s gaze, the other male turns and stares at him, face darkening with an indefinable look before he turns and melts into the darkness of the forest.

“Shit.” Changmin groans, knowing Junsu well enough to know when the older male is upset by something.
With a small groan, Changmin makes his way into the forest, following the distinct scent trail left behind by Junsu.
It takes him about a minute of following the smaller male before he finds himself standing in a small clearing bathed in the fading light of the day. Junsu is sitting on a rock, legs folded neatly and gaze directed straight at Changmin.

“I don’t want to talk to you.” Junsu states, shifting slightly so that he’s not facing Changmin directly.

Changmin bites in the inside of his lower lip, fighting back the habitual sigh that’s pressing at his lips. “I take it that an apology isn’t going to mean much.” He states, not bothering to walk further in to the clearing.

“Not unless you actually mean it.” Junsu’s response is immediate, his eyebrows arching as he catches Changmin’s gaze again.

“What exactly do you want an apology for?” Changmin questions, finally drawing closer to the boy. He moves forward until his legs are pressed against the rock and he’s standing only a few feet away from Junsu.

“I want you to apologize for your carelessness. If you hadn’t gone chasing after Yunho like that, none of this would have happened.” Junsu responds firmly, mouth pulling into a grim line of dissatisfaction.

“That‘s it?” Changmin breathes, head tilting to the side slightly as he analyzes the smaller male.

A silence falls over the clearing, both boys sitting and staring at each other, as if frozen in that moment of time. Even the forest around them seems oddly still, as if the trees themselves have taken pause to watch the interaction between the two males.

Changmin’s the first one to move. He lifts his left hand, long fingers reaching out towards Junsu’s pale face. He pauses a mere inch away from the cold skin, a silent conflict battling in his eyes.

In that one moment of indecision, Junsu shifts onto his feet and moves off the rock…away from Changmin. “I’m going back.” He mutters before disappearing into the forest again, leaving Changmin standing in the clearing, hand still hovering in the air.
He gives a soft sigh before he drops his hand back to his side and moves back into the forest.

“Could things get anymore fucked up?” He growls as he takes off running into the forest.

=-------------------Three Days Later-----------------------=

The slow tug of consciousness began to pull at him, pressing him to open his eyes and acknowledge the world he can hear going on around him.
As his body slowly returns to a wakeful state, Yunho notices two things immediately. The first is that his skin is cold, yet he feels perfectly normal; the second things is the sluggish beat of his heart in his chest. He can hardly feel the faint beat of his slow heart when he lifts his fingers to the pulse-point on his neck. Something about his body feels different, an almost unnatural stillness that sets him on edge.

His head is a fuzzy mess, only patches of memories drifting clearly through his mind. He remembers Junsu waking him up and Yoochun coming to the campsite, but things become a bit blurry after that He remembers faintly fighting with Changmin and running off into the woods. After that it’s nothing but a faint memory of pain on his shoulder.
With a slight twist of his mouth, Yunho reaches up and touches the spot on his shoulder, a thrill running through his body when he feels the puffy skin there with two small bumps raised slightly.

As if touch sparked his memory, Yunho was suddenly bombarded with memories. Insanely disturbing images. Like of him trying to suck Changmin’s tonsils out.
“Shit, shit, shit, shit!” Yunho groans, gripping at his head as things coming flooding back to him. Now that the haze has cleared, Yunho has no problem recalling--vividly--the feel of Changmin’s tongue in his mouth and of the other male thrusting into him.

Yunho groans long and low, clenching his jaw and shutting his eyes as if that would somehow fend off the onslaught of memories.

“You okay?”

Jaejoong’s voice causes Yunho to jump, his eyes going large as he turns to look at the poised male kneeling at the entrance of the tent.

“Y-Yeah.” Yunho finds himself stuttering back, unsure of how much Jaejoong knows. “What the hell happened?” He ventures, pushing back a few stray locks of hair that have fallen in front of his face.

Jaejoong’s brow furrows for a split-second before he moves further into the tent and sinks onto his knees. “How much do you remember?”

Yunho bites his lower lip as memories smash into his mind’s eye. “How much do you know?” He questions, deciding that there’s no way in hell he’s going to explain everything to Jaejoong.

“I know everything, so stop acting like a blushing virgin and tell me what you remember.” There is the slightest snap to Jaejoong’s voice, but there’s a slightly comforting warmth in the older male’s eyes that offsets his tone.

“I ran off into the woods after you left with Yoochun, Changmin followed me, we got in a fight and then he touched me after I transformed and proceeded to throw myself at him like a sex-deprived rabbit.” Yunho groans and covers his face with his hands, some part of his mind surprised when he doesn’t find his cheeks warm with a blush.

“Do you remember when he bit you?”

Yunho snaps his head up, looking at Jaejoong with large eyes. “B-Bit me? He bit me?” His hand goes back up to the puffy spot of flesh near his neck, fingers rubbing over the two small dots there.

“How are you feeling?” Jaejoong questions, his voice soft and more caring than Yunho has ever heard it.

Yunho contemplates his body for a moment, taking note of any changes he feels. “I kind of feel…odd. Like my heart’s beating really slow and I don’t feel cold even though my skin is freezing.” Yunho rattles off as he rubs a hand down his exposed arm, his mouth twisting to the side at the feel of icy skin.
“What’s happened to me?” Yunho finally breathes, feeling his body tense as he waits for Jaejoong’s response.

“I think you’ve been turned into a vampire-werewolf mix…like a crossbreed.” Jaejoong finally speaks, turning serious eyes on Yunho’s troubled face. “Is your throat burning or do you feel dried out and stiff?”

“Uh, just hungry, none of that other stuff.” Yunho responds absently, his mind still stuck on Jaejoong’s words. “Is that common? A…crossbreed?” He questions, turning his gaze back towards Jaejoong.

“We thought it was impossible.” Jaejoong responds simply, looking just as lost as Yunho feels.

“So what does this mean for me?” Yunho finds himself inching closer to the other male, the desire for reassurance growing in the pit of his stomach.

“I can’t really say, Yunho. I’ve never actually seen something like this before.” Jaejoong admits, his shoulders rising and falling as he lets out a sigh. “Are you feeling okay aside from the changes? Did Changmin hurt you?”

“Hurt me…” Yunho trails off, his mind taking a moment to make the connection of Jaejoong’s question to its meaning. “Are you seriously asking me that question?” Yunho groans, head falling back as his eyes shut in a look of pain.

“I just wanted to make sure. I wasn’t sure if you were used to sex between men or not.” Jaejoong responds evenly, shoulders shrugging easily as he speaks.

“And that assumption came about…because…?” Yunho’s tone is slightly snappish, his eyes narrowing at the assumption of his inexperience with sex.

“Because you’re a married man and I assumed married men didn’t go around getting screwed by other men.” Jaejoong’s response matches Yunho‘s tone, his eyebrows arching in slight amusement as he speaks.

Yunho feels abashed as Jaejoong’s speaks, his gaze flickering down to the dirt beneath him. “My experience came before I married my wife.”

Jaejoong’s eyes narrow in a slightly confused look. “So did you just like messing around with men on the side, or did you marry her out of obligation?”

“Obligation.” Yunho sighs, lifting his gaze to meet Jaejoong’s. “My best friend slept with her and ran away once she ended up pregnant. She told everyone that I was the father.” A dark tone of resentment edges his voice, but also a sort of resigned tone.

Jaejoong’s eyebrows arch, his look of shock clear on his face. “So you just married her and dealt with raising a child that wasn’t yours?”

“It wasn’t that bad. We eventually had a child together.” Yunho sighs and scrunches his face up slightly, shoulders shrugging backwards. “After that we started fighting a lot. She still loves my friend, so it causes problems when he comes back into town.”

“I see.” Jaejoong states softly, eyes scanning Yunho’s face for a moment before he turns and moves out of the tent. “You hungry?” He calls back, holding open the flap as a sign for Yunho to come out.

“A little bit.” Yunho mutters as he shuffles out of the tent, squinting slightly at the slash of sunlight across his face. “How long have I been out?” He questions, blinking his eyes a few times to let them adjust to the light.

“Around three days.” Jaejoong just manages to finish speaking before Yunho is pulled into a huge hug from a beaming Junsu.

“You’re finally up!” The older male smiles at Yunho as he detangles their limbs and sets some distance between them.

“Yeah, sorry about that.” Yunho mutters, unable to stop himself from smiling at the smaller male. Junsu’s attitudes are infectious, no matter if he’s angry or happy, it rubs off on everyone around him.

“You shouldn’t apologize! It wasn’t even your fault.” Junsu chides as he pulls Yunho over to the cold fire-pit.

Yunho finds himself smiling even more at the older male as he’s shuffled over to the dead fire and forced to sit down on a log. “Junsu, I’m fine, you don’t have to mother me.” He adds softly, reaching out to grab the older male’s wrist. The skin is cold beneath his grip, yet it somehow feels more normal now, as if he had been the odd one out of the four.

Junsu’s face turns serious as he sits next to Yunho on the log, his eyes full of caring warmth, “If you want me to beat Changmin up, just say so.”

Yunho fights back the wince at Junsu’s words, suddenly glad that blushing is now impossible. Having Jaejoong know about the sex is bad enough, but Junsu just adds a whole new level of embarrassment. Is there anyone who doesn’t know about his slip-up?
“Thanks, Junsu, but I don’t think that would be the best idea.”

“Yunho just knows I could own your ass, Junsu.” Changmin’s voice startles Yunho, causing him to jump up from his seat and spin around to face the lanky male standing before him.

Yunho suddenly feels something snap within him the moment he makes eye-contact with Changmin. Some animal part of him howls its desire and his body is suddenly aflame with lust too heavy to control. In a matter of moments he’s fully erect and practically foaming at the mouth. He can’t control his limbs as the carry him over to Changmin and wrap themselves around him, melding their bodies together. His mouth seeks those cold lips and he thrusts against a strong thigh with wild abandon, seeking friction.

Yunho feels cold lips sucking at his own and a tongue invading his mouth, returning the kiss with the vigor of newly sparked lust.

“What the fuck!”

He hears Jaejoong shout a moment before he’s tossed back like a rag doll, body slamming against the firm earth forcefully, but with no pain.
He rights himself quickly, breathing hot and heavy as he looks back to Changmin’s stunned and aroused face.
Desire crawls across every inch of his skin, begging to be petted and pleasured by none other that the snarky vampire standing before him.

“What the hell are you doing, Yunho?” Jaejoong snarls, stepping in between the two male’s.

Yunho can’t bring himself to answer. All he can do is try to get around Jaejoong in order to latch onto Changmin again.
He’s brought up short when Junsu grabs him around the waist and easily begins to pull him back into the forest, leaving Changmin and Jaejoong alone in the clearing.

Changmin lets out a sharp growl and starts to go after Junsu, his own eyes dark with lust.

Jaejoong turns a sharp glare on Changmin, stopping the male in his tracks.
“I have a feeling things are about to get very complicated.” He sighs, as he blocks Changmin’s path into the forest.

A/N: Well…there ya go. I kind of amazed that I was able to write this chapter.
Trust my muse to poke it’s head out during a time when I don’t feel like writing. On any average day, my muse runs away from me all the time, but during those stressful, heart aching moments, my muse just won’t leave me alone.

Aside from that, this chapter was boring. Hope you enjoyed!

P.S. I've been thinking of a Soul's Requiem sequel as of late. I left a few things undone in the first story and I've found that those things lend themselves to a sequel. So, anyone who's read Soul's Requiem, would you like to see me write a sequel after I finish writing Journey's End?>
