The Blind Assassin, by Margaret Atwood. It drags in places, but it is AMAZING. There are FOUR STORIES being told simultaneously. FOUR.

YES. You must read it. (: There's 4 separate, definite story lines, each of which she relates to once another in a way only Atwood can. There's
(1) The protagonist in her old age, in the present day, talking about her current life and reasons for writing her autobiography
(2) The actual autobiography, including her family history (grandparents, parents), her upbringing, her sister, and her life
(3) The novel her sister wrote
(4) The short story one character in the novel written by the sister tells to another character, in installments

Also, there's news articles and clippings peppered throughout the novel.

Is.
Amazing.

It's a bit of a mystery novel; it keeps you guessing who the people in the novel the sister wrote are, until the end. I thought I had it figured out, but it completely took me by surprise.
