feels like forever since i wrote!
I know it has been a long time since I posted, and for that I apologize. Worse yet, my return to lj is to gloat over a new toy. Oh, I like my toys. This one is a 1976 BMW motorcycle. 16,000 miles, almost 30 years old, and clean top-to-bottom. Just in time for the riding season in Arizona!
I've been driving past it for a month, each time it called out to me. Finally I stopped to look at it up close. It looked better the closer I got. 900 cc, horizontal opposed twin air-cooled boxer engine. Original paint, period-correct bags, and no hokey modifications by well-meaning but misdirected owners from the past. I've always had rice burners, so this is a pleasant change, having a bike that actually makes some torque between 2000 and 3000 rpm.
