Why, hello there!
I wish I could say that the lack of updates can be attributed to my fabulously glitzy, fun-filled life. And I could, but that would be lying as my life for the past week and a half has been filled with start-of-the-quarter business and little else. Instead of the usual slow starts, my professors have opted to jump right into the materials right away. No time to lose (apparently)! I think being an English major has murdered my passion for reading. And writing. Words... and the English language, in general.
I'm sad to have missed the Golden Globes, but I'm not too dissatisfied with the winners. I don't know how much weight to put on the awards after the Brokeback Mountain/Crash incident of last year's award season.
Sometime before the Oscars, I'd like to see as many movies as I can, both award-contenders and the ones that are not. If anyone has any film they particularly recommend, please let me know.
