Today was the most unproductive day ever.

I vaguely remember someone telling me that the best option for getting a large number of books home would be to mail them instead of putting them with my luggage. Does this seem right or did my brain just make that up?

My mom told me last night that my cousin is planning on moving out sometime in June. If she stays true to her word this time, I'll have my room back. I'm looking forward to reclaiming it and creating a "home" space for myself after losing that when I went to college.

In other news on the home-front, apparently mom's cousin's kid (I'm terrible with family terminology) is going to stay with us in the summer. I wasn't completely paying attention while she told me about it, but I think she said it would be something along the lines of six weeks. My mom's been having more than her share of problems in lots of different areas so it behooves* me to step up and help her when the kid is there. While I want to help her, this prospect kind of terrifies me because I'm terrible with kids - just completely awful. Also, since everyone in the family besides us lives in the Motherland, English is not the kid's first language. While he can speak it well enough, he won't (at least he wouldn't the last time he was with us). He'll be going to day camp and whatnot, but there's the problem of what to do afterwards. Even though it's one of my favorite activities, I don't think either set of parents would be too happy if I kept him in front of the TV watching movies. I have a Wii, that should be good, right?

Another idea is to try to keep my friends, immature boys that they are, around whenever I have to baby-sit.

* I'm thrilled that I managed to use that word in context.
