It's the middle of summer. I don't care about what Kant or Foucault or Horkheimer have to say. I shouldn't have to care. I should be frolicking in a field. Or something.
In the past three years of college, after a slew of Literature, History, and Art History classes concentrating on various time periods, I've realized that I dislike the Enlightenment era the most. Give me the Middle Ages and religious tyranny any day. I'll take Chaucher and Ariosto and Shakespeare. You can have Pope and Locke and their philosomophies.
The Spring Quarter Glow has worn off; I'm back to not liking school again.
In other news, after I realized a week ago that no matter how many times I flip to random pages, I won't find anything unnoticed before in Deathly Hallows, I'm hunting for something to satiate my inner fangirl. I'm about to give Twilight a second chance. I hope it'll seem better than the last time I attempted to start it.
Instead of homeworking, I've been working on a wallpaper. It's almost done and if I like it enough, I'll finally have something graphic-y to post again. Three guesses what the subject matter is.
is not thrilled,
