A completely unncessary message as I fail at updating on a regular basis, but since I'm usually pretty good at keeping up with the flist, just a note to say I will be on LJ a lot less the next week for a number of reasons:
- I have a midterm. On my birthday. I'm not thrilled.
- I believe there is a correlation between the amount of time I don't spend on LJ and the chances I won't be spoiled at all for HP.
- On top of my regular reading load for school, I will also be inishing my reread of the previous books, and also watching the movies.
- As one of my days will be spent doing various errands, the other two filled with reading/homeworking, half of my Thursday getting ready to return to LA from school and spent in transit, and Friday gearing up for the midnight release, there won't be much time for LJ-ing anyway.
I will miss you all. Truly.
But before I go, a few notes on a couple movies I have seen.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
- I like how many times Cedric Diggory appeared, even though he's dead. Still oh, so pretty. I also found it awkward that Harry and Cho kissed in front of his picture.
- HAHAHAHA DUDLEY! I missed the Dursleys in the last movie and am glad they made an appearance in this one.
- I suppose they had to keep in the new characters, but they felt completely useless. Like Tonks, and Kingsley Shacklebolt (although I did like his one line).
- Holy eyebrows, Hermione.
- SO MUCH LOVE FOR RON IN THIS MOVIE.
- AND FRED AND GEORGE.
- I am another person who thought Sirius' death was completely lame.
- McGonagall and Trelawney were completely wasted in this movie. Although I loved the little face-off McGonagall had with Umbridge.
- Umbridge was exactly how I pictured her.
- I thought DanRad did a fantastic job in that scene where Voldemort was in his head.
- I did not love this movie, and after my second viewing I only loved it a little more. I think it would be third or fourth in my rankings of all of them, with Goblet of Fire being the first.
Ratatouille
I saw this too long ago to write about any one thing about it, but I loved this movie to bits and pieces. LOVED.
Transformers
I really don't remember much from this movie except for OMG STROKES SHIRT. And that's about it, really.
See you after I've finished the last book, at which time I will be weepy.
