Looking Towards the Horizon

I'm angry. Over a number of things. But I'm not sure what.

So here's me trying to deal with it.

"But I'm too old," she said, frowning. "Even if I do go in there, I won't find anything. There's no point."

"My dear," he said, smiling as he rose to stand, "no one is too old to see miracles. If you open your eyes, the forest will surrender its secrets."

She shook her head, unconvinced. "How can you be so sure?"

"Because I know," and he fingered the silver ring he wore, "magic is timeless."

He took a sip of coffee and stopped, surprised. "Did you put milk in this?"

"No," Luxord replied calmly, drinking from his own mug. Then he stopped too, wondering at his own answer as a thoughtful frown came into his expression. There was a brief pause before he said, "I'm sorry. Do you want anything in that?"

"Uh, no. Thanks." Xigbar hastily took another gulp from the mug, keeping his eyes averted from the blonde. Luxord kept drinking, face still thoughtful and the three of them sat in silence.

Xaldin saw the tinge of red across his friend's cheeks and Luxord's quiet wonderment, and Xaldin smiled.

Xigbar reached out, extending one hand towards the shaking blonde. His tongue searched for words of comfort, anything to offer the man hiding behind his hands. "Luxord, I--"

"Don't," he said and Xigbar stopped as that one word cut through his sentence. The blonde didn't look up, keeping his face buried in his hands but the next word comes out like a shaking plea, slipping through his fingers to hang in the air between them. "Please."

Xigbar let his arm drop, saying nothing.

I used to dream
of falling stars
lighting up my way.

I used to sing
of all the things
that really made my day.

I used to have
all kinds of fun
together, my friends and me.

I used to laugh
at all the things
we did and used to see.

But now I know
such joy and innocence
are things of long ago.

Because where I'm going
is a dark, dark place
this is true; it's so.

A cloudy sky, a hidden sun
damp air all around
the leaves still wet with morning's tears
it's quiet; not a sound.

I close my eyes and wind I hear
old whispers from heaven
this was a time of long ago
when I was just seven.

Makin hari, makin dekat hari pengakhir zaman. Utusan telah datang dan kembali, hujahnya tersebar luar. Pelbagai bukti berdiri dengan tegaknya di hadapan mata, menumbuk dada.

Lihatlah dan percayalah.

Fikirkannya dan percayalah.

Masa giat mengalir tanpa menunggu. Ambillah langkah pertama menuju kebenaran segala-galanya.
