Recession Worry?

So, I realize I have an above average need for security, for reasons that are understandable, but I won't get into them now.
I am very disciplined at maintaining my budget and always's keeping a record of what I spent & how I spent it.
When I found a good paying job, it was less about what I could get & more about what I could save. I'm a "saver" in other words.

I've noticed the last three months my spending has been going up alot. Every month I can account for what made me go over my budget this month. Now I'm starting a new month and I'm wondering what I will have to cut out to stay within my budget. Whenever I have to use savings, for day to day expenses,I feel that I am on unsecure ground.

On the news, I see recession is most likely immenent if not already here. I know with MS, my financial resources are less than what it was without MS. I'm thinking about the cost of maintaining my car & the cost of eating to maintain my weight. It is less expensive to eat for weight gain, more expensive to eat to maintain or lose weight.

I know the thought of a recession affects job possibilities, (currently on SSDI, but always keeping my eyes open to possibilities and what the possibility would mean to me).

So I'm sick of watching the news articles on what the recession is doing to the general population, I was interested in what it was doing to a more specific population, one that I belonged to, the MS population. Is it having an affect on you? I think I'm noticing it.
