So, Jeremy's parents 40th wedding anniversary is coming up and we were trying to think of something special that we could do for them. We came up with doing some sort of basket filled with forty things that they could do together.
I didn't realize how hard it would be to come up with ideas that don't cost us an arm or a leg. Since with forty different things, the price adds up. Some ideas we have are:
2 Movie tickets
Tickets for entry to the zoo
A personalized bottle of wine
2 new Riedel stemless wine glasses
2 tickets to a Mariner's game
A gift certificate for 2 rounds of putt-putt at Newcastle's Rusty Putter
Starbucks gift card (to enjoy coffee together)
We have more but you get the idea. So, I was hoping you guys could help me come up with some more ideas. I still need about ten ideas to get the complete forty. Pretty open to anything. I was also thinking of making up some gift certificates for things like a dinner at our house, a dog sitting night, etc. Although, I am very uncreative so don't even know how I would go about making them :) Also, I'm trying to think of a good way to put this all together. We're going to dinner with them the day after their anniversary so we wanted to present it to them then. Thought about listing everything in a creative/fun way and then have one of us read off the list and then the other pull things out, maybe having them all wrapped or just with little ribbons tied around them. What do you think?
Any ideas??
Also- testing out a new user pic-- this is of our dog, Boone :)
