I never said that he didn't deserve it, only that he's an idiot who can't possibly really understand it. I treat people with the same amount of care and respect that they give me. He insulted me first, so why aren't you lecturing him? Or do your "friends" get the special priviledge of being allowed to disrespect others with no consequence?

That's rather faulty logic, isn't it? Deciding to "defend" him and siding with him just because he's your "friend", without even fully knowing the situation? What if he'd attacked someone? Would you side with him against the person who retaliated purely in defense, just because he's your "friend"?
