Transition

I'm going to be gone for while for basic training.

I was born and raised in the lower class and now I'm enlisting in the military. Those who want to call me a traitor, go ahead, it's a fact.

I'm just doing what I can to make this world better. I can't explain it. Hopefully when I get back I'll be able to show it.

For years the military has used cruel tactics in an attempt to curb the violence and anarchy in the lower class. Many innocent citizens have suffered because of the military's ruthless and indiscriminate raids. Many still do today. In the peaceful buffer zone known as the middle class, news of this is rarely reported correctly, if at all. Most are content to ignore the struggle of the poor and desperate "criminals" below their feet-- be they man, woman or child.

With no one informed enough and strong enough to criticize the way the upper class governs all those below them, society will remain simplified in its status quo. A surface glance at the above facts would put the military and lower class citizens at opposite ends of an on-going conflict. And since middle class citizens have seen nothing more than a surface glance, this is why it's easy to label me a traitor.

[ooc: good GOD I can't believe i busted that out x.x!]

Or you can view it as joining, moving up the ranks, and then speaking out for peace and companionship for the lower class, ending the strife. You sound proud and definant when you say you are lower class, born and raised, and say you're joining the military for the greater good.
What other greater good could there be than bringing peace to both sides?

From what I've seen working at the bases, "speaking out" from within the military gets you nowhere. Of course, there are better methods besides speaking

The larger problem is that peace is nothing but the result of war.
