My father is getting remmaried (for the 4th or 5th time this time), and I talked with the new one on the phone briefly. She drops me an email saying hello and signs it off with -

Steph, you should be nice to her and put this down to nervous typos. She's making the effort, I think that should be all that matters.

Besides, you're the blacksheep of the family and also the intelligent member of the family. I'd be nervous if I were in her shoes.

I am nice to her, she's been nothing but friendly to me so far.
Its my father that makes me roll my eyes, me and my brother have a bet going to see how long before he cheats on this one too.
