Kerry said recent events "put at question Russia's capacity to be within the G8."
"If Russia wants to be a G8 country, it needs to behave like a G8 country," Kerry added.
I think, that with the Iraq example fresh in our memory, Russia at last behaves JUST like a G8 country!
It is true though that "Russia is in violation of the sovereignty of Ukraine. Russia is in violation of its international obligations"
On the other hand, I'd be interested to see reaction of the West to a Western governement being ovethrown by protesters including the ultra-nationalist movements. Would the West embrace the new governement as indiscriminitavely as it has emraced the new "governement" of Ukraine..
This whole Ukraine situation is an awful mess. Awful!

One would think that Secretary Kerry could think of something else to say. The US has done a lot of invading and violating other country’s territory, and when Kerry mouths this kind of hypocrisy it just makes the US look bad. No one is being fooled. Kerry risks becoming a laughing stock. I voted for Obama, but now it really looks like his whole team is lost in the sauce.

Thats odd. I thought that attacking other countries on made-up pretexts, subverting other countries, encouraging or funding and arming terrorists in other countries, was what the US does all the time, and for decades. Its not a part of US foreign policy - it is US foreign policy. Been that way for decades.
So, was Kerry talking about Russia, or the US?
I guess a rogue state is anybody who dares to ever act like we do all the time.
