Naturally, this is one of the cases, when no one could have suspected that the times will come when everyone will have a chance to listen to J.J.Cale and to understand where the melody comes from. However, the earliest recording of Devochka Letom, seems to be on the 1991 album of Kalinov Most, and it is quite different from the later laid back blues version. It is called 1991 in the playlist.
