[Heero was, as one might imagine, a very light sleeper. Being a neurotic child-soldier-terrorist ingrained certain behaviors in one that didn't get shaken out of you after only a year or two of being 'out of the job' (not that he ever really was out of that job, being that it was more of a lifestyle than a job).]
[So even when there was just the tiniest sign of movement around him that was not previously accounted for, his eyes flew open and hand to his never far-away loaded gun on instinct. It was really no wonder he barely ever slept.]
