The FDA has banned Darvocet. Darvocet is my "last resort" pain killer. I emailed my internist asking for an alternative. I am allergic to one of the conventional alternatives (hydrocodone) which is why I switched to Darvocet in the first place. I MUCH preferred Darvocet to hydrocodone, too, as it isn't as much of a mood flattener. I am already

Oh, shit -- I'm so sorry! :(

(I can't take Darvocet or any of the heavy-hitters I've tried so far because they all make me vomitous, although if I take Promethazine with it I can sometimes barely manage if I'm post-surgery or something), but I know how awful it is to have a drug you NEED taken off the market.

I hope that your doctor can find you a good alternative...
