Uh-oh
I'm allergic to something in Third Ward :(
Monday when we were at the home appraisal, my face started to itch a little... then to sting... then it was full-out burning. It was horrible. I thought it must be something inside the house, some kind of dust or residue. Once we got into the car I had the AC blowing on me and it gradually calmed down.
Yesterday we met some friends for dinner at Calliope's Po-Boy. The restaurant is right around the corner from the house. After eating we stood on the sidewalk in front chatting for a little bit, and my face started to itch. And then to sting. Dammit! I'm allergic to something in the neighborhood. By time we headed home I was struggling not to scratch my face.
Since we were nearby, we took some of our friends over to see the new place. R wouldn't let us go inside, though, 'cause he's mean. :p
Our new house needs a name. We've been in the Secret Garden for five years this month. I'll miss it in a way, but I am ready to move on.
