Ok shoe people: give me your input. The Dav pumps came today and there are some pros and cons:
Pros:
there was some kind of markdown and I got them for $45.
they have a removable footbed, so i can add arch support.
They are pretty comfortable, for the most part: I wore them around the house for 2-3 hours today and only near the end did I get some pain, in the balls of my feet.
There is room in the toe box to add a footpetal.
Cons:
they actually look pretty cheap, especially the heel and the seam around the sole.
here's the biggest con: the fabric is very, very soft. I knew they were polyurethane, but I expected it to be more stiff. The PU is actually very, very soft and flexible and it makes me nervous. I am used to a shoe, especially a pump, having a stiffer body which is therefore more supportive to the foot; a stiff upper encases the foot and supports it. These shoes do not do that.
the sole is very flexible too & this makes me a little nervous.
So, I am thinking of sending them back. Thoughts?
