Tonight R was feeding our boys and he saw that one of them (one of the nameless boys) has a very visible cataract in one eye, and in the other eye he's starting to gray out. I said "But he's not that old..." and then I realized that he was born in 2005... March 5 2005. He's almost 4 years old. That's approaching old age for a degu. I can't believe they are so old now... that means Daisy is almost 4 too. And Isabell was born in May of 2004... so she's almost 5. That is elderly for a degu... we might not have her with us for much longer :(
