Saturday's excitement was mild. R forgot to go to the raw food store, so we visited a feed store near our home that carries some raw food. They didn't have any suitable for miss kitty, but I did find ONE single, very interesting pepper plant. It's called a "Red Marconi", and it's an heirloom sweet pepper. I was interested because the sign said "sweet non-bell" and said that it grew up to 3" across and 12" long! You may recall that I've been disappointed in not having more bell peppers this year. I really love sweet peppers, so I brought this one home. I've come home and looked it up and it appears to be very interesting! So I will put it in the garden tomorrow. It will take about three months to produce, so it will be a nice fall pepper.
Also, tonight I harvested my first cayenne pepper. It's gorgeous. It looks like a TV prop.
We were invited to a party tonight, but I decided to stay home. I usually find myself bored in large, amorphous groups of people. Also, I was in a sort of crabby mood earlier. I thought about going to the party in the hopes that my mood would improve and I'd have fun, but in the end I decided to stay home. I had a nap and my mood improved. I think Sunday I'll get my social on with sabbysteg.
