Dream 08
It's the middle of the night, and Setsuna is lying in bed, awake - he can't sleep.
He's not alone, either. There's a girl curled up next to him... Euphie is sound asleep, her head resting on his chest, her eyes shut, her shoulders gently rising and falling as she breathes. The two of them are both fully clothed: He's wearing a loose T-shirt and slacks, she's clad in a white gown of some sort. They're sleeping together in the most literal sense of the word - nothing more.
Setsuna finds himself looking down at Euphie. She looks so peaceful like this, and he wonders what she's dreaming about. He wonders if it's a happy dream.
He reaches out to brush a few strands of stray pink hair from where they've fallen down into her face and finds himself once again thinking that she's beautiful.
Setsuna closes his eyes, trying to fall asleep again. He can still feel her weight, her warmth against him - and realizes that he finds the contact strangely nice. ...how unusual.
Before long, he too, is asleep.
