Sooo off to Gigantour.
A fun time it was. I got there a little late because my dog ran off and I spent a good deal of time tracking the bitch down haha.
Fear Factory was good. They played mostly hits from Obsolete and older. They played Archetype and one of the then new cd coming out. Was a good time. What was funny is one of my old best friends is an extreme pot fiend had a nice incident. He brought a bowl with him and kept taking periodical hits while in the thick of the crowd. The band was talking about remembering their new album when they stop and look at him taking a hit while listening and said "that guy probably won't remember but hey..." All he could do was smile knowing he was busted on the spot.
Dream Theater was sweet. I haven't listened to any in some tiem so I nearly forgot how rediculously good these guys are. Every song was an 6 minute epic it felt like. Unreal solo's and notes few singers could hit.
Megadeath came on old school style with plenty of pyrotechnics, smoke, and explosions. Sweet show, they've been around for a while but can still blast with the best of them. F'ing solid every track they played.
Something I noticed. I felt bad during Fear Factory in the moshpit I broke some guy's nose pretty bad. Now I'm not oe of those dipshit hardkore kids. I mosh old school with my shoulder to you. I felt bad, oh'well. It's kind of funny when little 16 year olds jump in trying to be tough and get fucked up. I had a few notches to my belt. I don't try to hurt people but damn. if you don't weigh at least 150lbs. You have no business in there. What was funny is I saw some chick pushing her apparent bf into the pit and others and I thought. Man thats the fucking girl I want. One that has problem getting dirty and throwing bastards around.
Overall a bad ass concert and I was able to avoid those I wanted to and see the many I wanted. They know who they are. They are partially the reason I don't go to many shows anymore but I had to make this one, there was no excuse.
