The football fans and other terroristic organizations
No updates for quite some time, what? I have a lot of work to do lately, so there.
I’m trying to get admitted for the final exams and I’m also trying to finish my thesis. I still hope I can make it in time.
Today my ‘journey there and back again’ started. I went home from college to fetch my passport and tomorrow morning I’m going back to college again.
The train had a 30 minutes delay. I wondered why there were so many policemen on the platform, but I understood very soon. When the train finally arrived it was half full with drunken football fans.
The announcer even said: “The passengers are advised to board only the rear section of the train, because the front section is occupied by the Banik Ostrava (football team) fans.” Repeated three times.
The policemen boarded the train as well. There were about 40 of them dressed in black and looking very tough, patroling the train every now and then.
It leaves me wondering, why such manoeuvres are necessary. I also wonder, why ‘football fans’ has to be almost a synonym for 'a gang of drunken yelling idiots’. No offense intended to the non-drunken non-yelling non-idiotic football fans, of course.
Also, I can finally disclose the fact that I was chosen to go to Japan in September and stay there till the end of March. I am supposed to study Japanese Culture on Gakushuin Women’s College in Tokyo. My feelings about this are mixed. I am looking forward to it very much, because I wanted to study there and it somehow happened that I will, but I’m also... pretty scared :D
