First off, I must thank you for taking my cats under your care. And I apologize for keeping them with you for this long...
The notice is sudden, but I have decided to take them back. I must admit their company has kept me amused and after living in their absense, I've come to realize that the maintenance needed to keep them satisfied has also become a part of my daily routine, and without it...something is missing.
I would like to have them back by the end of today if it does not inconvenience you. As a token of my gratitude, perhaps you would honor me with your presence by accepting my invitation to dinner? Or maybe a simple cup of tea? Of course, your friend is welcome, as well.
