I am very pleased with they way things turned out today. I belong where I have been. I fit in there but obviously it was not meant to be.

The Rabbi from the Temple informed me that I was too late so I will not be taking part in the confirmation service this weekend. I felt relieved, I haven't had much time to practice chanting. My father told me to give him my personal theology and statement anyway so I did. Then with a rather forceful tone, my father asked the Rabbi to read them, just read them.
Supposedly they were quite impressive. All the confirmands from the center (Ally, Sarah, Melissa, and I) were asked to read one of our speeches Friday night. Everything went well for me, I was loud enough (which is hard in that room), spoke at the right speed, except my voice eventually started getting shakey. I really hate when my voice gets shakey... No matter how comfortable I am...unless I have water or something like gum my voice gets all weird. If you have ever heard me deliver a speech or present something you know what I'm talking about. For my Bat-Mitzvah I had water and candy with me on the bima. I need to work on getting my voice more under control. Any tips other than having water with me? lol I hope he reads everything I wrote. I had this whole thing about confirmation... Truthfully, I didn't get much out of his class and had a very hard time with it. I had planned on attending the class that will be available at the Center next year for highschoolers since I talked with our new Rabbi about it so I don't mind not being officially confirmed at the Temple this year.

I'm thinking about going to Chicago sometime soon to check out Ikea. I need bookshelves if I'm ever going to get my room together. If you know of better places for(cheap, unfinished, but nice)furniture let me know!

Going back to today... I went to the Jews Around the World themed family day at the Center. I came late because I just couldn't get up this morning but it was okay. I went to Argentina, Ethiopia (I enjoyed that one because I already knew about the information given and there was MANGO!), Holland, and I wanted to go to the others but I didn't have enough time. It =was the best family education day I have attended. Food, songs, handouts, maps, statistics...whoohoo! Getting home wasn't muchfun though but I didn't mind. I decided to go straight instead of turn where I usually do because the light was green but I ended up in slow stop-and-go traffic until well past the Mark. Yes, twas graduation for Augustana today. I forgot all about it until I saw all the students walking with family and friends. Someone told me her highschool rented out a place in the Mark for their graduation too. Very smart indeed...

*Question of the day*
What do you think should make a major comeback?
1 Pogs
2 Yo-Yos
3 Marbles
4 My size barbies
5 Other (what?)

*Quote of the day*
